Michael Palin, Non Fiction, Uncategorized, Video

Amy Davies - October 10th, 2012

This autumn, Michael Palin returns to our screens with his first travel programme for five years. Brazil is one of the four new global super powers, and the official host for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics will be held in Rio. Half a continent in size and a potent mix of races, religions and cultures, of unexplored wildernesses and bustling modern cities, it is also one of the few countries Michael Palin has never fully travelled. Brazil, as Michael describes it, is “a country of many countries”.

In this video, Michael tells us what it was like to make the TV series and write the book.

Brazil starts on Wednesday 24th October, at 9pm on BBC1 ad the accompanying book is out this week in hardback and eBook!
