The Editor - December 7th, 2010

Check out our fantastic new hardback re-issues of five of H.G Wells’ classic social novels (Love and Mr Lewisham, Kipps, Tono-Bungay, Ann Veronica and The History of Mr Polly), all of which were written between 1900 and 1910. Designed in response to a competition run with leading art schools and all with specially commissioned introductions by top modern writers, these editions breathe new life into Wells’ lesser known early work.

The bold and innovative cover designs were the result of a competition run with the D&AD Student Awards Programme for those looking to break into the industry: and the winners were Luke Roberts, and Simon Harry Cox from Norwich University College of the Arts (NUCA) who then worked alongside the inhouse design team to advance their designs and make them print ready. For more information on the competition please see: http://studentawards.dandad.org/2010/categories/9/book-design

The books are published on 31st December 2010 at £9.99 each. For a chance to win one of five sets, email competitions@orionbooks.co.uk
